Establish an identity through a Quired Profile

People change jobs everyday which brought something to mind. I was attempting to contact an insurance agent as a prospect for our business network. He was not listed on the agency website so I had to track his info down through the receptionist but she did not have his email address. I then googled his name but nothing came up.

When you represent your company who is the one who ultimately builds the relationship? That's right - you do. Not to take away from the company, but products and services do not normally sell themselves.

This is why it would be wise as a sales or service rep to establish your own identity through a Quired profile. Link your profile to your company profile and optmize both profiles on the internet.

The next time an associate needs to find you when they don't have all of your contact info, they can find you through your profile through a web search.

It is my belief that most competent business people will want to be found this way in the near future. (Just look at LinkedIn)

Just think about it. A client wants to check in with you but lost your business card. They google your name and find your profile loaded with targeted and informative content as well as all of your contact information.

What happens if you move on to your next opportunity. Just make sure your new employer has created a profile and link to the new opportunity. Easy as that.

You are your strongest asset. Plant a flag in the ground and declare a space for yourself that represents who you are and what you have to offer to those who know you or may discover you.
